Powering Your Passion
The home, leisure, ICT, and medical sectors are devouring 36,000 tonnes of epoxy resins annually, courtesy of Epoxy Europe members. So whether you’re chasing your goals on the field or enjoying outdoor adventures, chances are you’re in the epoxy zone.
Epoxy’s versatility isn’t limited to industrial use. It’s a star player in the DIY game too! Those trusty adhesives, sealants, and mortars you use for home repairs? Yep, many of them contain epoxy resins. The EU alone sees around €2 billion worth of epoxy-based adhesives and sealants sold yearly for DIY projects.
Enhancing Performance, Amplifying Fun
From amateurs to pros, epoxies can be the secret weapon behind top-performing sports and leisure equipment.
Tennis rackets, skis, golf gear, hockey sticks, and more benefit from epoxy’s touch, becoming lighter, stronger, and more fatigue-resistant.
Fishing rods, kayaks, bicycles, and even archery bows and arrows rely on epoxy coatings for that extra edge. Not to forget our maritime friends, where epoxy-coated boats rule the waves!
Did you know?
At the end of their life, electrical appliances must be collected in Europe in compliance with the Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. Once collected, they must be disposed of in compliance with the European waste regulations. Epoxy-coated parts of appliances are collected and processed at industrial plants to recover metals for reuse. The epoxy-based coating is converted into harmless degradation products during the processing of coated metal, reducing the overall environmental impact of its products.
