Position Paper: Epoxy based composites under the EU Advanced Materials Act
As Epoxy Europe we are calling for epoxy-based composites to be recognised as advanced materials under the forthcoming Advanced Materials Act. These composites are used in wind turbine blades, aircraft structures, and grid insulation, and must perform reliably for decades. The Act should recognise the performance of a material within a system rather than whether it is new. By that measure, epoxy-based composites qualify.
